Today good sunny not hot without heaps of people river looks healthy not like in Victoria with blue green algae in places
It is a nice place to walk and has a great fenced playground, toilets and skateboard area. There are nice shady trees and good grassed areas to sit. If you are wanting to go swimming, especially with little ones, it is not the best place. Access into the water is difficult due to the big drop down into the water. And there are roots and sharp sticks under water in the shallows here. I would highly recommend life jackets on all children and any adults that aren't confident swimmers
It was a very relaxing environment the only problem we had was finding toilet facilities, we had some visitors from England with us and they loved it
It's a park, playground and lawned riverfront. Best ever swim spot between community club and warf. Been swimming here for past 42 summers and never been cut by broken glass in the water. I can't say that for anywhere else along the Murray. I love Sturt Reserve and that part of the river and I always feel at home and leave with a renewed sense of inner peace. # Lifelong Memories, from my grandfather to my grandchildren.
